The premium plugin ZIP is always in the Freemius Customer Portal under Downloads. Sign in, click Download next to the plugin, and upload the ZIP in wp-admin. Use it for a fresh install, a reinstall, or a second site. Already have the plugin installed and want the new version? See Update the Plugin.
This works the same for every AnWP premium plugin. Freemius, our licensing partner, delivers the downloads and the license keys for all of them.
🚀 How do I download the plugin ZIP?
- Sign in at users.freemius.com with the email you bought with. Forgot the password? Use the reset link on the login form.
- Click Downloads.
- Click Download next to the plugin. The button shows the latest version number, and that’s the one you want.
Your purchase email has a download link too, but that link can stop working after a while. The portal doesn’t: sign in and download the latest version whenever you need it.
Keep the file zipped
WordPress installs the .zip file, not a folder. If your browser unzipped the download (Safari does this by default), download it again with Safari’s “Open safe files after downloading” option turned off, or use another browser.
How do I install it?
- In wp-admin, go to Plugins > Add New Plugin > Upload Plugin.
- Pick the ZIP and click Install Now.
- Click Activate Plugin.
WordPress says the plugin is already installed? Then you’re updating, not installing. Follow Update the Plugin.
How do I activate the license?
Right after you activate the plugin, Freemius shows the license screen. Paste your key into the License key field and click Activate License.
Don’t have the key at hand? Click Can’t find your license key? under the key field. It asks for the email you used during the purchase and resends the key. The other places to find it are in Find Your License Key. An error instead of a working license? License Won’t Activate lists every message and its fix.
Can I install it on a second site?
Yes. Use the same ZIP and the same license key, as long as your license still has a free site. How many sites each plugin covers, and which staging addresses are free, is in What a License Covers.
- Replacing the old site – deactivate the license there first. See Move a License to Another Site.
- Running both sites – you need a license with more sites. See Upgrade or Change Your Plan, and contact support before you buy, so we can point you to the cheapest option.
🆘 Common questions
The download link in my purchase email shows an error
Download the ZIP from the Customer Portal instead (steps above). It’s the same file, and the portal always has the latest version. Can’t sign in either? Find Your License Key explains license recovery, which emails you a fresh download link and the key.
Do I need the free plugin too?
It depends on the plugin:
| Premium plugin | Free plugin needed? |
|---|---|
| Football Leagues Premium | No. Since version 0.18.2 it includes the free core, so the separate AnWP Football Leagues plugin isn’t needed |
| Sports Leagues Premium | Yes. Install and activate AnWP Sports Leagues first |
| Post Grid Premium | Yes. Install and activate AnWP Post Grid and Post Carousel Slider for Elementor and Elementor first |
| Sports API Hub, Tennis API Hub | No. There’s no free version, the ZIP is the whole plugin |
