Tennis API Hub Is Here: Live Tennis Data on Your WordPress Site
Tennis API Hub is on sale today. It’s a WordPress plugin that imports tennis and table tennis data from AllSportsAPI2 into your own database, then builds the pages for you: live scores, draws, ATP and WTA rankings, player stats and head-to-head pages. You pick the tournaments. The plugin does the typing.
See it live: theworldoftennis.com – match, player, tournament and head-to-head pages are the plugin’s own. The home and rankings pages are built from its shortcodes.
Here are the four things I’d look at first.
1. Live scores, point by point
Live scores are checked every 60 seconds by default. Open pages update without a reload and switch from Live to Finished by themselves. When a match ends, the winner’s next-round match shows up minutes later with live scores of its own, so you don’t wait for the next sync.
Point by Point gives every point its own cell, so a column is the same point in every game. Break points get a red frame, set and match points a violet one. An ace shows one dot and a double fault two. The API never sends the point that wins a game, so a dashed cell marks its place instead of a guess. During a live match the grid refreshes about 1-2 minutes after each game, for 1 API call per game.
2. Head-to-head pages
Two tennis players with 4 or more singles meetings get their own rivalry page, like /h2h/alcaraz-carlos-vs-sinner-jannik/. It shows the record by surface, level, finals and tiebreaks, every meeting, the next one and match stats. Walkovers and exhibitions aren’t counted. The pages build and update themselves, and you can change the minimum or switch them off.
3. Odds and highlights
Upcoming match cards show each player’s match-winner price. Finished cards and match pages show the pre-match price, and an amber “Upset” tag appears when the outsider won. Match pages also get a price board for match winner, first set and total games. Odds refresh every 6 hours.
Highlights play on your own page, in a youtube-nocookie.com player that steps through the match’s clips. Thumbnails are stored on your site as WebP, so nothing loads from Google until a visitor presses play.
4. Layout Builder
Drag and drop blocks into rows and tabs on match, player, team, edition and head-to-head pages. There are 7 page layouts, and a match has its own layout for upcoming, live and finished. Pick from 26 statistics blocks (17 player, 7 match, 2 tournament). Each layout has its own SEO title and description with variables, and it works with Rank Math, Yoast SEO and SEO SIMPLE PACK.
For everything else there are 15 shortcodes: calendars, draw brackets, rankings and a “This Week” box that turns over every Monday by itself.
Table tennis is included
The same license and the same API subscription cover table tennis: matches, live scores, player and club pages, league standings and brackets where the API publishes them. The provider publishes less for table tennis, so there are no rankings, no season statistics and no head-to-head pages.
What it costs
One plan with every feature. It covers 2 live sites plus as many localhost and staging sites as you need.
- $12/month, $119/year or $399 lifetime
- 7-day money-back guarantee
- There’s no free version
You also need an AllSportsAPI2 subscription on RapidAPI. The Pro plan is $19.99/month at the time of writing. The Basic plan isn’t enough, because loading the tennis catalog alone takes about 3,300 requests. Annual plugin plus Pro API comes to $359 a year, about $0.98 a day.
And be ready for the first import to take a while. The tennis catalog loads in about an hour, a WTA 1000 singles draw in under 3 minutes and a Grand Slam singles draw in about 12. After that, sync and live scores keep things current. It needs WordPress 6.5+ and PHP 7.4+.
